Outreach Ideas

The idea on this page is for your church to reach out to the community as well can be used within the church community.

Let us use the talents we have in our church to outreach to others. Start a list that people can add their talents to if they want to get involved so you have a database.

It is important to share your faith with others in order to both further your own spiritual development and lead others to Christ. It is essential to share the gospel with neighbours, friends, family, and other acquaintances, whether you are doing so individually or as a church.

Things to remember
It is essential to regularly pray for guidance on outreach. Have an outreach prayer team.
When meeting people always make sure they have contact details so if they have more questions they have someone to contact.
Advertise your outreach events
Follow up groups – for each event or group make sure you follow up
Do apply too much pressure on people, remember this is a journey for them and it is not you to direct their path, allow the Lord to convict them. Show them the love of Jesus.
When the answer is no, respect their decision, pray for them.
Always be careful with children and vulnerable adults, always remember that certain testimonies or groups are not suitable for all.
When fundamentalists of other religions undergo what are known to be antagonistic conversions, seek God’s direction. It would be wise to seek guidance from a Christian specialist in their specific religion to choose the best course of action.
Plan the event with the community in mind, not just your members.
