Creation
Genesis 1 and 2
- God made the world with a purpose, and it was fundamentally good.
- God created both human and animal life.
- Existence serves a purpose.
- Because of our unique relationship with God, and our planet that God has created for us, humans have a duty to be good stewards of both. To be his partner, Humans should live in partnership with God and creation. According to Genesis 1:28, humans should fulfil the duty that God has given them to care for the planet. Conserve and protect the environment and the world’s resources.
- When Adam was created, he was formed by earthly dust and God’s breath. He was placed in the Garden of Eden to dwell in paradise, he was formed before the animals. To be his partner, Eve was made.
- God created humans and they are made in his likeness.
Sanctity of life
This is the conviction that life is valuable. Because God created it, all life is special and demands protection. Give thanks to God for His provision.God cares about and participates in human existence. Jesus demonstrated the importance of every life in His teachings and practices.
Abortion
The termination of a pregnancy to prevent the birth of a child is known as an abortion. Every life is unique and incredibly valued. God knew individuals before they were born, according to Jeremiah. Jeremiah 1:5 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;”
- ‘Thou must not kill’ is one of the Ten Commandments.’ Exodus 20:13
- Life can only be given and taken away by God.
- All life is valuable and sacred.

Although there are many differing views on abortion, Christian Life Today aims simply to present the teachings and perspectives of each denomination. We recognise that this is a deeply sensitive issue, and we approach it with care and respect.
Dying
In addition to asking God for forgiveness, prayers are made for the dying individual. This demonstrates the significance of requesting forgiveness in order to have a relationship with God. For some Christians, burial is more significant than cremation.
“I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25) is a common read during funeral services. This demonstrates those who hold the belief that Jesus is the light of the world and that He guides people to Heaven.

The Soul
The spiritual aspect of being is called the soul, and it exists in humans, it is that spiritual component of a person that binds them to God is their soul. It is believed that there is a non-physical soul and there is a Heaven where people’s souls continue to live after passing away physically.
Afterlife
The idea that existence persists after physical life is known as the afterlife. Through faith, one can receive eternal life after death. A person’s ability to enter Heaven is determined by how they respond to Jesus and the people in need on earth. The opposite of Heaven, hell is a realm where people are cut off from God. The future of the soul will be decided by the judgement. Christians believe that God is a just God who will take into account believers’ good and bad deeds when they die.
Jesus’ resurrection demonstrates that life goes on after death and that individuals may regain their relationship with God by believing in his suffering and death, which atones for their crimes and their punishment. Furthermore, since followers of Christ and His sacrifice will be raised from the dead to spend eternity in Heaven with God and Christ, there is no longer any need to be afraid of dying.
- John 11:25-26. 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
- 1 Corinthians 15:42-44. 42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
- Through faith, one can receive eternal life after death. Matthew 25:46. 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
- Reaction to Jesus and others in need on earth determines one’s ability to enter Heaven.
- Given that Jesus rose from the dead, resurrection is anticipated. John 11:25. 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;”
- The opposite of Heaven is hell, hell is a realm where people are separated off from God. Matthew 25:46. 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
