Christian Life Today Prayer: The Lord of compassion,

Provide us the courage to create networks of love and hospitality in the neighbourhoods where we live; the strength to reach out to establish community and relationships with those who feel abandoned and lonely; the faith to believe in hope in those places and lives where hope has been diminished; and an understanding of your love in the bleakness that frequently surrounds us.
In Jesus’ name, we express this request.
Amen.
