Small Splash Big Ripples

Re-energising the community, a small splash can create a big ripple. Have influence in your community.

  • Thank the Lord for the things for which you are grateful. While praying, include your family, friends, and community.
  • Say hello to a newbie at church or greet them with a smile.
  • Contact someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
  • Help someone in need.
  • Prepare or bake meals for an elderly friend or neighbour.
  • Discuss the Bible and share scripture.
  • ARK – do an Act of Random Kindness.
  • Give someone a little of your spare time to help them.
  • Write a favourable review for a business whose services you have used.
  • Write a letter of encouragement to a neighbour or member of your church.
  • Start a small cleaning crew or collect rubbish in the park or your neighbourhood.
  • Assemble and donate food or essentials to a local food bank or church.
  • Contribute £10 to support family counselling and therapy programs.
  • To inspire someone or a homegroup, share your story of overcoming adversity.
  • Motivate someone to learn something new.
  • Spend time with your friends and family without any interruptions.
  • Prepare a small care package for someone who could use a boost.
  • Donate clothing you no longer need and give to a homeless organisation.
  • Call or visit someone who might be feeling lonely.
  • To increase awareness, share Christian Life Today on social media.
  • Give three suggestions for strengthening faith in your community and see if they can be implemented.
  • Give someone who inspires you a gift or an anonymous letter.
  • Set aside time to pray for struggling families.
  • Compose a supportive letter for every friend or relative.
  • Invite someone to walk or run with you
  • Paying for the next person’s meal or drink in a café might encourage compassion.
  • Make little notes of support and hand them out in public areas, (Please use discretion as could be mistaken for littering.)
  • Make a commitment to one sustained act of kindness, like church outreach, consistent donations, or volunteer work.
  • Pay a visit to a patient at a hospital or a care home.
