Finding Faith And Patience

Finding Faith and Patience When Life Doesn’t Turn Out the Way You Expected: Trusting God’s Plan And The Twists In Life!

Stage 1: Determine Your Problem Area

Identify one specific area in your life where you feel trapped, frustrated, or impatient because you believe God is working more slowly than you are. Take some time to reflect on this. This may be anything—a personal connection, a career goal, a financial situation, a health concern, or anything else where you’re ready for change or advancement.

  • What particular situation or set of events is making you mistrust God’s timing?
  • What feelings, such as doubt, irritation, annoyance, anxiety, or impatience, are you feeling?
  • How does God’s possible plan for this scenario differ from your expectations?

Stage 2: Give up and Accept the Present

After determining where you struggle, it’s time to let go of your expectations and live in the present. This requires giving up control and trusting that God works in the background, even when the results are concealed from view.

Particular Steps:

  • Ask for a spirit of faith and submission in prayer. Pray to God to help you let go of control over the circumstance and to provide you with serenity while you wait.
  • Engage in gratitude and mindfulness exercises. Instead of concentrating on your shortcomings, give attention to the positives you now have in your life. Give thanks to God for His faithfulness in the past and have hope that He will be faithful in the future.
  • Help others. Serve those who are in need to turn your attention outward. You may be able to see things differently and discover delight in the here and now as a result.
  • Take part in things that make you happy and calm. Take up a pastime, connect with loved ones, relax, and rejuvenate. Spend time in nature.

Stage 3: Make an affirmation every day.

Create a prayer or affirmation that is meaningful to you and serves as a reminder of God’s timing and faithfulness. This affirmation can be based on scripture, a cherished quote, or an expression of trust from the individual. Repeat it daily, especially when you’re feeling low or impatient.

A few examples of affirmations are:

  • “The time of God is ideal. I have faith that everything is happening for my benefit.
  • “I am calm and assured, recognising that God’s designs for my life are excellent.”
  • “I relinquish my desires and accept this very time with pleasure and thankfulness.”

Stage 4: Arrive and Assess

Make it a practice to evaluate your progress in trusting God’s timing on a regular basis. This might be a weekly or monthly introspection session in which you review your feelings, ideas, and actions.

Self-reflection questions to consider:

  • Am I getting better at letting go of my expectations?
  • Am I enjoying my journey and keeping my attention on the here and now?
  • Am I seeking direction from God constantly and putting my faith in His plan?
  • What changes can I make that will strengthen my faith and confidence in God’s timing?

Remember that following God’s timing is a process, not an end goal. It requires patience, faith, and a daily commitment to surrender. You can strengthen your confidence in God’s sovereignty and find peace in the midst of uncertainty by actively engaging in His plan.

This course of action will help you gain a better understanding of God’s timetable and equip you with practical skills to handle life’s uncertainties with grace and fortitude. Never forget that you are not traveling alone. God is with you at all times, providing you with guidance, comfort, and the strength to accept His optimal timing.

When God twists the plot in your life, remember to:

  1. Remind yourself of the virtuous deeds God has done for you in the past. Consider a time when you were going through a struggle or a storm that seemed difficult to overcome, but God was there to lift you up and get you through it.
  2. Never forget that you are the most exalted King’s daughter. For you, what would He not do? You are the objects of His intense affection, His hands and feet, and His messenger. This will make it possible for you to put your faith in God, offer Him all of your suffering, heartbreak, and disappointments, and ask Him to provide you serenity while you wait.
  3. Ask God to give you insight and direction. As we keep an ear out for His.

God bless.
